I haven't been here for such along time and for that I apoligize. My counts are better than ever but heres my problem. I'm dealing with multiple migraines that are making my life miserable. I'm wondering if anyone else deals th this and if its connected at all to the ITP. I don't trust the dr's to know. I find that you all have more knowledge then they do. Any thoughts?

Maddy:

Do a search on APS...you will find that both migraines and ITP are symptoms. It's estimated that 33% of those with ITP also have APS. You may not, but it's worth looking into and it's just a blood test. Just a thought.

I have had ITP since i was about 4 or 5 and have been getting headaches for many years since then, but only recently in the last few mths been getting what i would consider to be migraines, so i don't know if it is conneted to the ITP or not.

I have ITP and Migraines - both for many years. No Dr has ever told me the two are related. I am treated for each by different doctors Although my Hemo Dr did just prescrip. topamax (a daily medication) for the migraines. I also use Imitrex when I get a migraine. The topamax seems to help me but is a very strange drug, not for everyone. I was getting up to 15/20 migraines per month before the topamax. Living with both - not fun!

They may not be related, or they could be related.

I get migraines and what i find helps is 2paracetamol which do nothing and 2 codine phosphate which is marvelous, makes my limbs go to jelly but i feel pops & crackles going in my brain which seem to reduce the pain and its not until these start that i start and get the relief.
